Allied Universal is seeking a professional, reliable, and customer-service-oriented Security Professional to join our team at a college campus.
Security Professional – College Campus
Hourly Rate: $ 21.50 / hour
Schedule: Various shifts
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Location: Ottawa, Ontario
In this role, you will help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Conduct regular foot patrols throughout the campus, including classrooms, hallways, common areas, and exterior premises.
Monitor access points and ensure that only authorized individuals enter restricted areas.
Provide assistance and directions to students, staff, and visitors.
Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and disturbances.
Monitor CCTV systems and report any suspicious activity.
Enforce campus policies and procedures in a professional and respectful manner.
Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate daily activity logs.
Assist with emergency procedures, evacuations, and other safety-related situations.
Maintain a visible security presence to help prevent incidents and promote a safe learning environment.
Valid Quebec BSP Security Guard Licence (mandatory).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Ability to remain calm and exercise good judgment in challenging situations.
Strong observation and report-writing skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Previous security experience in an educational or institutional environment is considered an asset.
Valid First Aid and CPR certification is considered an asset.
Approachable, respectful, and service-oriented.
Comfortable interacting with students, faculty, and visitors.
